I love my job! I keep learning new things and I can be creative and independent in what I do. I love mathematics, I think there is a beauty in maths that we can see in natural phenomena like the patterns we see on the skins of animals like zebras and leopards and butterflies. I am very happy I can use my knowledge in mathematics to help us understand the natural world 🙂

Sometimes my work can be hard too and demanding, but it is worth it i think 🙂

I mostly really enjoy my job. I do like the fact that, as a scientist, I am participating in a bigger process that could, in my case, eventually help to treat cancer or spot cancer earlier. However, I also like the fact that, as a scientist, I get to learn new things all the time. What can I say, I love to learn!

However, as a lecturer, I do have to do a lot of paperwork, and I don’t like that so much, because it takes away time from doing science and playing in the lab.

This job can also be tiring and frustrating at points, and a lot of hard work, but I would not change it for anything else 🙂
