I have travelled a lot, I really enjoy it! I’ve been to many countries like Egypt, Greece, Morocco, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Guatemala and many more! A lot of these trips were for fun but I also get to travel a lot for my work! When I was doing my PhD I got to spend three months in Japan to work with scientists there. It was really cool to be somewhere so different, I really enjoyed the sushi and food as well ;]. I also spent a month in China working with people at Peking university in Beijing, again very fun experience! Also I travel a lot for science conferences. These are great opportunities to meet with other scientists and find out what they are doing and also what they think about your work! So all in all, I have travelled a lot, i hope to continue to do so and studying and science have really given me the chance to do lots of it!

I have only travelled in Europe so far, to places such as Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Italy and Slovenia (and of course Portugal!). Outside Europe I would really love to visit Japan, India and Canada.
