      Cancers can take a while to get to a stage in which they can spread, usually years. At this stage, a cancer is called a primary tumour. But unfortunately, once the cancer cells become able to spread they do so relatively fast…

      Also, cancer cells that have spread can also remain dormant or “asleep” in its new tissue for years, and then start growing vey quickly. This is why it is important that tumours are spotted early.
