      it is a tricky question… 🙂
Does that mean when I started to think like a scientist or actually doing science? If the first, it was when I was in high school and started larding how the scientific process work. If the second, it was when I did my research project for my 1st university degree and got to plan and do experiments on my own to advance scientific questions. And I never stopped since!

I started thinking about questions to do with the way nature and our world works when I was about 18, studying maths at university. I only started doing research and coming up with my own ideas about nature and biology when I was doing my masters degree and I did a research project on genetics (so looking at the way people’s DNA changes). After that I decided this is what I want to do and so went on to do a PhD which is a research degree for people who want to do research and work at universities. So I’d say, I feel like I’ve been doing science in a mature sort of way for about 5 years 🙂
