• Question: You discovered a new disease..it turns the blood bad what would you call it?

      There are actually a few diseases that can cause problems to our blood. One of them is sepsis which is a kind of blood infection that happens when the body is trying really hard to respond to an infection. This is a rare but serious condition but can be treated if it is detected early.

      As Zena mentioned, there are a lot of diseases that affect our blood. If I discovered a new one, I would look at what it did and what caused it and would come up with a name that was relevant to that. When it come to naming things, scientists and doctors are not the most creative people 😉 It also helps to make the name relevant to what the disease is!
