• Question: What is the future of robotics in medicine?

      There’s lots of fascinating work in this field but I have to say I am not an expert. Scientists can now make prosthetic limbs, like arms and legs, and help people that have had serious accidents improve their lives 🙂

      One really cool project that is developing right now is aimed at making blind people see. I think this is pretty incredible as we are getting close to finding a way of passing outside information to the brain even when our eyes are damaged. I am sure Jared will have a lot to tell you about this 😉

      I agree with Zena that robotics can help people se, and help to replace lost limbs.
      Another advance I think is really interesting is how doctors can now use remote controlled robots to do operations! It is fascinating that they can have the sensitivity to do so 🙂
