      As a biologist, I have to say the theory of Natural Selection in evolution. It is fascinating how simple accumulations of mutations in DNA can lead to such dramatic consequences… and it is actually quite simple in concept.

      It can also be applied on how cancer cells adapt and change, because they too have to adapt to an ever changing environment, many times driven by themselves.
