I guess I always wanted to learn, so I knew I always wanted to work at a University and be an academic, but I was not sure in which field (I also love history and the arts).
I think I realised I really loved science when I was around 13/14. The fact Jurassic Park came out around that time has nothing to do with it, I swear! 😉

I was also always very curious (my mum says that I was born with a question on my lips;]). I was set on studying maths when I was about 13 but I only started thinking of becoming an academic when I was 17. At university I wanted to be an academic studying quantum mechanics and cosmology but this changed slowly and I became more interested in biology.

I was always quite curios as a child and had chemistry sets when I was young, but it wasn’t until I was around 15 or so that I really became interested in science. I seemed to be better at Maths and Physics so this steered me towards doing Physics at University.
